SELECT CREWMEMBER BIOS:

Joshua Sikora
Writer, Director, Producer
Filmmaking was never just a job or a hobby for Joshua Sikora. Since the age of 10, cinema has been his life. Throughout high school, Sikora spent his free time watching movies, thinking movies, reading about movies, and of course making movies. By the time he was in college, he'd already gained almost a decade of hands on experience which prepared him for the more professional world he was entering.

In his freshman year, Sikora's short film Sundown--a western that he wrote, directed, produced, edited, and shot--won nine awards and screened at a number of film festivals. He followed that up by co-writing and producing the award-winning drama Blank Slate--a film that went on to compete for a Student Academy Award. Most recently, Sikora produced the feature-length drama, The Deserted--another film that showcases Sikora's demand for excellent production quality through even demanding schedules and tight budgets.

In 2005, he founded the Sikora Media Group, a business dedicated to creating and distributing new media in revolutionary ways. New Renaissance Pictures, a division of the Sikora Media Group, will distribute Project X.

Clint Cullum
Co-writer, Creative Consultant
It could be said that Clint Cullum was born watching movies and hasn't stopped since. Raised on the classics and more recently venturing out into the world of foreign cinema, it seems only natural that his love for watching movies would translate into his desire to make them. At 21 years of age, he has completed two short films, CandleLight and The Green Leaves of Autumn, both of which opened to general accolades at the Biola Film Festival. Each earned him nominations for best screenplay and best overall film, with the latter film winning best drama. Cullum is now in post-production on his feature-film directorial debut, The Deserted, which will be released by New Renaissance Pictures in 2006.

Brought in for revisions on the script of Project X, he left with an overhaul, attempting to merge his own style with his love for the horror genre and character-based dramas. In addition to writing, he is credited as Creative Consultant. When he graduates, Cullum hopes to enter the world of filmmaking, whether that be Hollywood or the independent circuit, and do his part to create meaningful art.

Aaron Noble
Editor, Key Grip
Aaron Noble is an aspiring film editor. He has chosen to become a filmmaker because of his love for telling stories and his passion for the collaborative filmmaking process. Since not many students have the opportunity to edit a feature-length film, he sees his involvment in Project X as a great chance to learn and grow in his craft. Having edited numerous productions, including The Green Leaves of Autumn, Golf a la Carté, and Bad Pizza, he is now looking forward to the exciting challenge of editing Project X.

Noble also serves as the key grip for Project X. His experience as key grip on many past films has prepared him for the countless hours of work he faced both in securing equipment for Project X and then leading a team of grips and production assistants on set.

Alexa Diaz
Associate Producer, Casting Director, 2nd Assistant Camera
Alexa has always been interested in storytelling. It wasn’t until her senior year of high school that she had the opportunity to study the art and the craft of filmmaking. In attending Biola University, she has had the opportunity to learn from her peers and develop her talents as a producer, writer, and director.

Alexa brought her organizational skills to the films Blank Slate and Golf a la Carté. As producer, she organized and delegated responsibilities to the rest of the crew, and oversaw the productions from start to finish. As writer and director of the shorts Java Story and Overture, she has thoroughly enjoyed the process and discipline of storytelling.

As one of the associate producers on Project X, Alexa's focus is on the cast and the story. She serves as casting director for Project X, and has worked closely with the actors.

Kevin Christensen
Creature Designer, Lead Animator, Camera Team
Kevin Christensen entered college as an amateur animator, creating two animated short films, Stikman Dan and Stikman Returns, in his first two years in school. Combined they won eight awards at the 2003 and 2004 Biola Film Festivals, including the Glass Nash Award (best overall film) for Stikman Returns in 2004.

Christensen joined the crew of Project X in May of 2004 as Creature Designer and Lead Animator, adopting it as his next project to follow his Stikman shorts. His drawing skills have served him well as he's worked to design a truly frightening creature. But we're also extremely excited as he lends his computer animation skills to us in order to pull off the many visual effects in Project X.

Kenny Ryan
Line Producer, Associate Producer (fundraising)
It all began after I saw Star Wars: A New Hope. I realized that someone actually was making those movies. People were cooperating together to make something that transcended all barriers and reached those of us who sat in the darkened seats of the local Cineplex. From that point on, I have wanted to be a part of filmmaking.

For the last seven years, Kenny Ryan has been involved in writing and directing short films. These films range from Medium Rare, a gripping suspense thriller, to Charles, a visually experimental journey that examines the motivations for the 1969 Helter Skelter murders. In addition, he just completed Garfunkeled, a stunning look at the combination of kleptomania and obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Kenny is now in pre-production on a short film for early 2006 and his first feature-length film, October Falling, with an anticiapted release in 2007.

William Hellmuth
First Assistant Director, Locations Manager
William Hellmuth is from the great state of Texas, where he first took interest in film because of a drama class in high school. He proceeded to study film directing, cinematography, and writing in whatever way he could, including an internship with a local filmmaker. Since then, he has written and directed eight short films. His short The Dagger was nominated for Best Drama and Best Music at the 2004 Biola Film Festival. He plans for a career in Hollywood through writing, directing, and perhaps even acting in, his own films.

Aaron Fowler
Practical Effects Supervisor
A veteran of the storytelling world, Aaron has been writing and telling stories since he was a small child. When he finished his first novel at 15, he found himself exploring the world of words and where he could go. Movies became an interest, and soon, a passion. His freshman year he helped to found m.o.e. along with Sikora, Hann, and Grant, and went on to not only co-write Blank Slate, but also work on crew for several other films, including Sundown and The Green Leaves Of Autumn. Earlier this year, he also helped create the story for Golf a la Carté.

Aaron continually tackles the hardest and dirtiest jobs on-set, often without credit. Aaron also acted as liaison between the production and editing room on Blank Slate, taking on the role of script supervisor and continuity. He has an eye for detail and a creative mind that makes him a good collaborator on any project he is brought into. On Project X Fowler shifts his gaze onto a new arena, Practical Effects and Prosthetics. He hopes to use his creativity and M.O.E.'s desire for quality to create a convincing on-set creature, as well as a gambit of other things including rain.
