Clint Cullum is a twenty-five year old filmmaker hailing from the great state of Texas. In his youth he developed a love for movies which steadily increased as he got older. While in college, he directed two short films which opened locally to positive accolades: CandleLight and The Green Leaves of Autumn. Much of his college life was spent in study of world cinema, focusing especially on the European masters and their particular mode of self-expression. The Deserted marks his feature film debut in which he has attempted to utilize the metaphoric possibilities of the road movie to reveal a distinctly personal sense of American soullessness and ennui on the path to redemption. He believes that cinema is powerful, both subtle and direct, with yet untapped potential.
